Create a stream: ingest, URL and stream key
Stream URL and stream key are your personal credentials for the relay. When creating a stream you first choose the ingest protocol – that determines which URL you enter in your encoder or app.
Which ingest protocol?
- SRT / SRTLA – for mobile IRL streams, link bonding and unstable connections. Details: SRTLA bonding.
- RTMP / RTMPS – for OBS, vMix, action cams and other classic RTMP encoders. Details: RTMP/RTMPS with OBS.
You can later create additional streams with the other protocol – limits are shown in the panel (base plus optional loyalty bonuses).
Create a stream and copy credentials
- Log in to the panel and open the Dashboard.
- Create a new stream and choose SRT/SRTLA or RTMP/RTMPS.
- Copy the displayed stream URL directly from the panel.
- Copy your individual stream key (mind capitalisation).
- Enter both into your streaming software.
Use panel values: Host and port can vary by configuration. Always copy from the panel – not from old screenshots or third-party tutorials.
Protect your stream key
Important: Never share your stream key publicly. Anyone with the key can publish to the relay in your name. The key cannot be reset – if you need a new one, delete the stream in the panel and create a new one.
- No keys in public Discord channels, pastes or overlays
- On leak: delete the stream, create a new one, update encoder/app
- Destination platform keys (Twitch/Kick) are separate – keep those secret too
Continue with encoder or app
- Moblin & IRL Pro – one-tap or manual
- OBS / vMix / RTMP – desktop and action cams
- Push targets – to Twitch, Kick, YouTube
